This Week in Bossier

August 26, 2010

We’ve all been there…a few too many MGD Lights throughout an otherwise splendid evening among friends and family, and before you know it you are drunk dialing ex girlfriends and randoms you just met…or perhaps, the local authorities.

A Haughton man was arrested Friday night for criminal mischief and disturbing the peace/drunk.

According to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, Ronald Morris, 46, of the 300 block of Mid South Loop, was taken into custody just before midnight in reference to Morris calling 911 three times in a very intoxicated state and saying that Bossier Sheriff’s deputies had not given his driver’s license back.  Earlier in the evening, at about 8:45 p.m., deputies had been dispatched to Morris’ residence to investigate an altercation between Morris and his stepson.

Deputies say they did indeed give Morris his license back and he put it in his front pants pocket.  Bossier Sheriff’s dispatchers say Morris was very rude and said he would call his lawyer if he did not get his license back.

Can’t fault a guy for just trying to get his affairs in order can you?

When deputies arrived the second time, they say Morris had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and wouldn’t listen to deputies.  He started waving his hands in the air and started to go back inside.

Morris was handcuffed, mirandized and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility.  His bond was set at $1,150.

Well, I guess you can.
